Unspeakable Joy.

In plenty and wanting, in sorrow and fear,
You are my portion, I’m never alone.
When I can’t feel Your presence, and my future’s unknown,
You are my portion, I’m never alone.
And I don’t have to wonder if You are good,
I don’t have to question Your heart.
As I walk through the valley of shadow and death, still I sing in the dark.
I have joy, joy, unspeakable joy, I find peace even in suffering,
You’re the hope that I cling to and I choose to trust You.
When my heart’s full of questions, or the answer is clear,
You are my Promise, I know You are near.
When I’m lost and doubting, and I’ve wandered from home,
You are my Promise, I’m never alone.
And I don’t have to wonder if You are good,
I don’t have to question Your heart.
Though I walk through the dessert, my cup overflows because
You are always enough.
I have treasure waiting in Heaven for me,
a Glory unfading for all who believe.
Though my eyes have not seen You, still I choose to trust You.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:26)- Reminded of these beautiful truths knowing Christ today.

Some of the beautiful sights of Boston, a night by the harbour front in this city (August 2013)

Today’s Reminder.

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11

King over the Flood.
” I don’t always calm the storms of your life, but I do always give you an opportunity to have peace in the midst of the storms.

Peace is the gift of knowing that you are mine and that I will guide you through each storm safely. If your job seems like a tidal wave of stress coming to swamp your peace, it can get you only as wet as you let it.

You have a choice to steady yourself in me. Once you become assured that I won’t let you down, then each storm becomes a strengthening experience and each challenge becomes a faith builder. Stabilize yourself through prayer, scripture, worship, and fellowship. Then you will have my peace and can weather any storm. ”   2 Samuel 22:5-7
